Introducing ....

Paris-Ivy and I would like to introduce

Winmere Bare Knuckle

His call name is Sully and - before you ask - he is named after a famous American boxer of the late 1800s who was the last man to win the  world heavyweight bare knuckle championship ... and the first to win the world heavyweight gloved championship.  Just for kicks, you can learn more about John L. Sullivan by clicking here. My son, Callan, suggested his name and I loved it!

My thanks to Theresa Garton (Winmere Boxers) for trusting me with one of her precious pups.  I actually met Sully's sire at the American Boxer Club national show when he was just a pup! Who knew that several years later, one of his babies would be mine!

On Nov. 18 I, along with Callan and his girlfriend, Teryl, went to Oklahoma City to pick Sully up and start the long drive back to Phoenix.  Here are some photos from the trip.

Here's the little guy ... all by himself in the whelping pen.  His littermates were already gone so he was ready for some new company.

Sully and his mother, Josie, take one last romp around Theresa's big backyard.

Callan is inspecting Sully's feet and is predicting he will be a BIG Boxer boy!

Theresa and Josie give the little guy one last hug and kiss before he starts his new life adventure!

Yes, no doubt about it:  Sully belongs with me.  😊

Two super cute redheads ... Sully and Teryl!

Sully was a great traveler ... even in the motel.  He's not too sure about the whole thing, but he just rolls with the punches.

This was supposed to be a good night kiss. 😁

Teryl gets early morning potty duty in Albuquerque before we start the last leg of the journey home to Phoenix.

First meeting between Ivy and Sully.  Sully had NO fear and went right up to Ivy and whacked her on the shoulder!  He's also wearing his very own Denver Broncos collar!

"Mom ... Ivy's pickin' on me!"

Ivy decided she needs to teach the little snert a thing or two ... like how to play tug.

Yes, Ivy teases him with the toys and then lets him have it ...

... and he parades around with the toy, very proud of himself.  He hasn't yet figured out that if Ivy didn't want him to have the toy, he wouldn't get it. 😄

Here is one attempt at a Thanksgiving Day portrait ... it was less than successful.

But I finally settled on this one.

Sully is now 12 weeks old, growing like crazy, and has already had a private competition obedience class.  He has a wonderful temperament.  Ivy and I decided he's a keeper for sure!  💗

Ivy's Halloween!

It's a busy time for a little Boxer girlie ... just WHAT should she be for Halloween?

Well ... perhaps this witch hat isn't her thing.

Not too thrilled about being a pirate, either!

And the other pirate hat ... well ... no.

Exotic dancer - complete with a pink feather boa!  YES!

Lesson learned:  after the photo shoot, lock the boa up tight!

Finally!  She loves her Jolly Roger bandanna ... perfect Halloween costume!

But this pirate hat looks good, too!

Ready to beg for meatballs!

But in the end ... she really wanted to be a little witch.

Olly's birthday party!

Olly's 10th birthday called for a parrrrtaaaay!!  So, after Ivy's obedience class, everyone got to celebrate.  Party favors were red bandannas and all the four-legged cowboys and cowgirls got to wear their stetsons, too.  :)

Olly and Ivy check out the birthday box ... and found NO treats at all!  What kind of party is this?

Here's the birthday boy!!  Olly is such a good sport ... and he loves his hat ... right?  ;)

Ivy's hat is on straight, but ... how long do you think it's going to stay that way?

Mocha is the baby of the group and she's not into hats at this age.  :)

Assembling everyone for the group photo:  Mocha, Holly, Fred, Ivy, Olly and Pebbles.  Getting them together was the easy part ... posing is a different story!

Ivy is really, really interested in Pebbles - and the assistance she's getting from her mom.  It's that "hat thing" you know!

Speaking of hats ... there goes Ivy's!  Meanwhile ... Fred and Olly are showing off - just like boys always do.  :)

At last!  A group party photo!  Holly ... Fred ... Ivy ... Olly ... Pebbles! Mocha is supervising from the sidelines.

Mocha's first birthday party ... she prefers to watch and learn.  :)

Holly says,  "Thanks, Mom, for letting me take that hat off!"

Yes ... a treat for the people!

Champagne is appropriate for any party - even at 9 in the morning!  Try it sometime!  :)

Olly and Ivy wanted to make sure their mom had to wear a stupid hat, too!

The family portrait.  :)

Olly even got a birthday present from Fred!

Wow!  It's a furry, fuzzy Kong that squeaks!!!!

What a fun party to help Olly celebrate the big 1-0 ... he is happy he could share it with his friends.  :)
